Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Joe Donnelly announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will spend between $5 and 10 million to clean up hazardous waste at the Continental Steel Main Plant Site. The funding is a result of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
“I was pleased to learn that the EPA will use funding from the recovery act to help clean up the former site of Continental Steel,” Donnelly said. “Cleaning up this Superfund site will facilitate economic development around the site of the former industrial plant.”
