South Bend, IN -Today, Congressman Joe Donnelly presented medals to two veterans during a ceremony at his district office in South Bend.
“I am honored to present these medals to two of our country’s most admirable men,” Donnelly said. “Mr. Hums and Mr. Kline represent the very best our country has to offer. They put their lives on their line to defend our country, and there is no way we can truly thank them enough for that. These medals should serve as a token of our appreciation for their dedication to defending our freedom.”

The following veterans received medals:
John Hums: Mr. Hums of South Bend served in the United States Army during World War II. He will be presented with the Bronze Star Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with single Bronze Star Attachment.
George Kline: Mr. Kline of South Bend served in the United States Army during World War II. He will be presented with the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign with quadruple Bronze Star Attachments, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Honorable Service Lapel Button.
