Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Joe Donnelly welcomed Stacy McCormack, physics teacher at Penn High School in Mishawaka and the Indiana Teacher of the Year, to his Washington, D.C. office. McCormack will be Congressman Donnelly’s guest at the president’s State of the Union address this evening.
“I’m pleased Stacy will be my guest this evening because she represents the thousands of teachers in north central Indiana who, everyday, help our children realize their full potential,” said Donnelly. “She has proven herself an outstanding educator and I am proud to further recognize her accomplishments. Stacy’s creative instruction in a field important to our nation’s future—science—is inspiring, and I thank her for preparing her students for a lifetime of learning.”
